Missions

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

At First Baptist Church of Clinton, we believe that as followers of Christ, we have been gifted by the Lord. As we realize what God has done for us through His Son Jesus Christ, we are called and compelled to use our gifts to serve others, share his message of grace and extend his love to all people.

We offer a variety of opportunities for all ages and areas of giftedness. Some of these include:

  • Financial Support of large missions organizations like the IMB (International Mission Board) and the NAMB (North American Mission Board) of the Southern Baptist Convention. We also support the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) through their Global Missions Offering. The choice is yours. We cooperate with several other missions efforts as well contributing to their organizations’ work including The Open Door Christian Center, The Good Shepherd Medical Clinic, United Ministries of Clinton, the Laurens Baptist Crisis Center, and others.

  • Active participation in one of the organizations of the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union)

(Women on Missions, Mission Friends, GAs (Girls in Action) , RAs (Royal Ambassadors), and

    Baptist Young Men)

  •  Family Mission Trips
