At First Baptist Church, we desire to provide a safe and loving environment for preschoolers to learn about God’s love for them and the beautiful world that he created for them to live in. Our mission is to share the message of God’s love, and through that message to develop in young children a growing faith that can lead to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ when they are ready and able to accept him as their Lord and Savior.

Parent-Child Dedication
Parent-Child Dedications are an important part of worship at First Baptist Church. Our congregation takes seriously its role to encourage and equip parents in the important ministry of parenting. If you would like us to recognize your commitment to raise your child in Christian community, please contact the church office at (864) 833-2578 to get details about a parent-child dedication.
Weekly Programs
Sunday School for children 3 and under meet in the Education Wing beginning at 10:15am each Sunday. Classes are divided by age, and are led by a regular rotation of caring teachers and helpers.
Children in Action meets on Sunday Nights (beginning September 18, 2022) from 5:15-7:30pm. Attendees will have dinner, a chance for worship, service opportunities, and classroom breakout groups for studying God's plan for their lives! Nursery is also available during this time and the schedule lines up with our Student Ministry meeting as well. We hope this provides parents and caregivers a time to be with each other, have dinner, or even join us on campus for one of our Sunday Evening Discipleship Classes.
Nursery is provided for children ages birth through four years of age during both worship services on Sunday morning. The Nursery is located in the Education Wing. Click to download schedule.
Children’s Church is provided for children ages 4K through 5th grade on the first Sunday of every month during both worship services. Children are led in age-appropriate worship as they learn about the love of God for them and how to follow Jesus.
